Our crackerjack team of researchers have been doing some in-depth studies of the TauU comparison method. In the process of their work, last week they discovered an error in the calculation of one of the TauU measures. We were able to correct the issue within hours of it being identified, but we take this incident seriously and it has forced us to improve our internal controls and better understand the application of our statistical tools.
So how does this affect you? If you used the TauU in a qualitative environment, then it very likely that there is little impact on your results and you can proceed with your regularly scheduled studies.
